A big congratulations goes to PCX Founder, Dr. Jakita Thomas, who has been awarded the 2019 Social Humanitarian Award by The Auburn Chapter of The National Society of Black Engineers and Auburn Black Girls Rock Selection Committee!

This award goes to someone who represents the best of Auburn—a woman of considerable achievement, that shows a relentless support for her Auburn and local community and whose efforts have impacted others within the Auburn community.

The Auburn University Chapter of The National Society of Black Engineers. The National Society of Engineers was founded in 1975 to "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community." NSBE offers its members leadership training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, career placement services and more.

Every year AU NSBE hosts our annual Auburn Black Girls Rock Awards Show at Auburn University. They created this event in 2015 to showcase and highlight the professionalism, achievements, talent and creativity of African-American women throughout the Auburn-Opelika Area.
